NEW! Design and paint your very own skateboard deck and turn it into a one of-a-kind artwork. Dream up your design and bring it to life with bold colours, wild ideas, and your own unique style.
Working alongside experienced WA painter Miles Carpenter, you’ll learn how to translate your ideas onto a real deck, whether you go graphic, abstract, or completely out there using acrylic paints to bring your vision to life. Designed for teens. All materials are included, along with one blank skateboard deck per student.
Note: Trucks and wheels are not included. Finished decks will need to be clear varnished at home.
What to bring:
- A water bottle and snack or lunchbox for longer classes
- A sunhat for any outdoor breaks
- All materials are included.
What to wear:
- Closed-toe shoes
- Clothes you don’t mind getting messy
Drop off and Pick Up:
- All parents/guardians need to drop off and pick up their child from the studio
- No students will be permitted to leave without written confirmation by a parent/guardian.
Building Accessibility
Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.
We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
