Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre (WFAC) has revealed the second line-up for Sunday Music 25-26 — its beloved free outdoor concert series celebrating genre-defying talent from Fremantle and beyond. The newly announced program features country outsiders Kangaroos with Machine Guns, community-driven jazz collective jade//vision, and Australian rock icons Rob Snarski (The Blackeyed Susans) and Lindy Morrison (The Go-Betweens) – taking to the stage as a compelling duo.

The upcoming season also includes special programming to celebrate International Women’s Day, Brad Rimmer’s exhibition Loom of the Land, and the Focus: First Nation Film Festival on January 25.

As we celebrate a standout first half of the season — with highlights including Nicholas Allbrook and Kankawa Nagarra — we’re thrilled to announce another exceptional line-up for Sunday Music Part Two,” says City of Fremantle Director of Creative Arts and Community, Pete Stone. “It’s a privilege to present such diverse and high-calibre musical experiences free to the community every Sunday, made possible through the generous support of Fremantle Community Bank.”

February sees the arrival of Rob Snarski and Lindy Morrison, performing together in an intimate set infused with warmth, humour and musical conversation shaped by decades of shared history. As two of Australia’s most revered musicians, their collaboration promises a rare and engaging live experience.

A special edition of Sunday Music responds to Loom of the Land, WFAC’s latest exhibition by acclaimed photographer Brad Rimmer. Emily Barker and Mark Holdsworth perform on February 15. The duo have composed new works in response to Rimmer’s photographs, with filmed performances in regional concert halls featured in the Nowhere Near series premiering at the exhibition. Music has long been central to Rimmer’s creative process — “time spent driving and listening, often without taking a single picture, became a meditative and essential part of the process,” he reflects.

In March, Ayo Busari launches his debut EP Joy & Balloons. An award-winning creative producer, composer and community arts leader, Busari is a defining voice in Western Australia’s performing arts scene and co-frontman of genre-blending collective TAB Family. His new work explores Afro-fusion, EDM, house and poetic storytelling with infectious energy.

On March 8, Sunday Music aligns with International Women’s Day, welcoming international artists Tara Tiba and Juliana Areias (The Bossa Nova Baby). Renowned for her genre-defying artistry, Tara Tiba has performed at major global venues including The Met (New York), Spain’s National Auditorium and WOMADelaide. Denied the right to perform publicly in Iran as a female singer, she has emerged as an expatriate trailblazer, blending traditional Persian vocal techniques with jazz, Latin and contemporary music. Brazilian singer-songwriter Juliana Areias brings her vibrant trio, celebrating samba, bossa nova and Brazilian classics — including a special tribute to iconic female Brazilian songwriters.

Later in the season, Kangaroos with Machine Guns deliver their dusty, cosmic take on country blues — part Hank Williams, part Bad Seeds, with a distinctly Australian edge. They’re joined by Wanita, Australia’s Queen of Honky Tonk: a raw, uncompromising storyteller devoted to the sound and spirit of classic country.

Rounding out the season is jade//vision, an improvisation-led collective fostering community through jazz-adjacent music that embraces collaboration and experimentation. They perform alongside Melbourne outfit Cool Out Sun, a four-piece drawing on Afro-folk, Taaso, Afrobeat and hip hop influences.

For more than 40 years, Sunday Music has been a cornerstone of Fremantle’s cultural calendar, presenting an expansive mix of musical voices from across genres and continents while championing Western Australian artists. Set in the leafy surrounds of Fremantle Arts Centre, the seven-month summer series offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and a rare chance to discover both emerging and established performers in a uniquely intimate setting.

Sunday Music runs every Sunday from 2–4pm at Fremantle Arts Centre until 29 March 2026. Free entry. Everyone welcome.
