Sunday Music: Nannup Festival presents Krui3ers + Nelson Oreeri

This special edition of Sunday Music is presented in association with Nannup Festival, and features celebrated Indigenous musical acts The Krui3ers and Nelson O’Reeri.

The Krui3ers are an original four-piece rock band from the Mowanjum Community in the Kimberley. As descendants of renowned Mowanjum band Gulingi Nunga, they continue to perform their songs while bringing their own style to the strong musical culture found within their community. With a high energy country rock style combining melodic chorus lines and distinctive guitar riffs, their songs speak of their connection to Country and the stories of their old people.

A proud Ngarinyin Man, Nelson O’Reeri’s songs are about his connection to Country, spirituality, language, law and culture. Playing with his band DULNGA, his lyrics reflect the many struggles and challenges his people, the Ngarinyin people, face from the impacts of suicide, alcohol and drugs, and intergenerational trauma. Through his music, he aims to brings hope, aspirations, and cultural enlightenment to the Ngarinyin people, his ancestral country and home.
