Songwriters Live at Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre brand new recording studio!!!

A three-day professional songwriting course for emerging musicians, led by Kav Temperley of Eskimo Joe these September/October school holidays.A real world experience for anyone who can sing or play an instrument. If you’ve got songs in you, this is where you learn to get them out, meet other musicians, and work the way real artists do. Pitched at intermediate level for musicians and artists aged 14+.Participants are placed into groups to refine their ideas and turn them into finished songs, moving from a blank page to a live performance across three days.Day 1 — Write. Shape ideas, melodies and hooks into real songs. Learn lyric writing, melody, structure and arrangement.

Day 2 — Record. Take your song into a working studio and track a scratch demo in Pro Tools. Learn how to hear your songs like a producer.

Day 3 — Perform. Bring it to the stage with guidance on stagecraft and delivery, finishing with an end-of-day performance.

Alongside Kav, you’ll learn from a special guests, professional artists and industry mentors working in the business today.

Total cost for all 3 days $395 (valued at $750 per participant, subsidised by WFAC. Places are limited and groups kept small.)
