Hundreds & Thousands: Colour Conversations Mini-Tour

Can you distinguish Yves Klein Blue from Ultramarine? Did you know the first colour used in art was red – from the ochre in a cave more than 75,000 years ago? From the Renaissance to Impressionism, the history of colour in art has been one of perpetual discovery.

Join us in getting curious about colour at our Colour Conversations Mini-Tours. Led by Andre Lipscombe, the Curator of the City of Fremantle Art Collection, these free tours will guide audiences through our current exhibition Hundreds & Thousands while unpacking the theory, science and emotion of colour as it appears in art.
