Artist Talks: James Angus, Dai-Rong Lee & Trevor Richards

Join FAC Curator Dr Ric Spencer for an afternoon of artist talks to learn more about the 2019 Winter Exhibitions.

US-based artist James Angus will discuss the paper sculptures in his exhibition Papier Mâché for BeginnersThis is the acclaimed WA artist’s first exhibition in his home state in over a decade and the first time he has exhibited paper-based works.

Taiwanese artist Dai-Rong Lee is the tenth artist to visit Fremantle from the Taipei Artists Village as part of the FAC-Asialink Reciprocal Artist Exchange Program. Hear her discuss her time in WA and how she makes her intricate, fleshy ceramic sculptures.

Rounding out the afternoon, established Fremantle artist Trevor Richards will talk about his fascination with patterns and the inspiration behind the installation for Ground Plane which fills the Main Gallery.
