Studios + Residencies

JOIN WFAC’S CREATIVE COMMUNITY

Welcome to Studios + Residencies

WFAC’s Studios + Residencies programs provide artists with the space, time and support to explore new ideas, develop their practice and connect with other creatives. Whether you’re working on something new, experimenting with different materials or looking for an opportunity to take your practice further, our programs are designed to support artists working across disciplines and at different stages of their careers.

Here in Walyalup Fremantle, our Studios Program offers free studio placements in a welcoming community of artists, with spaces suited to a range of creative practices. This includes a dedicated accessible studio for artists with disability, with flexible arrangements and support available to suit individual needs.

Our annual International Artist Exchange Program takes these opportunities further afield, connecting Western Australian artists with creative communities overseas, while welcoming international artists to work and create here at WFAC. Previous exchanges have included partnerships with the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) in Ireland,  Taipei Artist Village in Taiwan and Incheon Art Platform in South Korea.

Explore our programs below to learn more about the opportunities available and how to get involved.
