Get creative with foil, texture and a little bit of magic! In this fun hands-on workshop, older kids will learn how to turn a simple sheet of aluminium into a unique piece of artwork.
Using special tools, you’ll draw, scratch and press into the foil to create raised patterns, pictures and textures. Then, with a splash of black paint and a little rubbing back, watch your design really pop.
To finish, you’ll create a colourful backing sheet to complement your artwork before mounting your embossed piece. Take home your own A4 artwork, a one-of-a-kind creation.
What to bring:
- A water bottle and snack or lunchbox for longer classes
- A sunhat for any outdoor breaks
- All materials included.
What to wear:
- Closed toed shoes
- Clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
Drop off and Pick Up:
- All parents/guardians need to drop off and pick up their child from the studio
- No students will be permitted to leave without written confirmation by a parent/guardian.
Building Accessibility
Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.
We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
