Bazaar Special Event: Handbuild a Ceramic Mug

About this special event

Add something special to your Bazaar Makers Market experience – with a special event art class!

Join ceramicist and tutor Tracey-Lee for an evening of pottery making your own ceramic mug. Tracey-Lee will guide you through the processes, demonstrating techniques including rolling, cutting, texturising and more.

Once completed, following the class, your tutor will then bisque and glaze your piece to prepare it for its final firing.

With the Makers Market kicking off at 5pm, you can skip the queue and enter for market for free (just show your enrolment email confirmation at the gate). Then, you’ll have time to browse, buy and find your inspiration before heading up the hill to the studio for a night of creative fun.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty!

Materials included.

Kindly note that due to this classes’ proximity to the Christmas break, pieces will likely be available for collection in the early new year. You’ll receive an email to let you know when your mug is ready to be collected.

Building Accessibility

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible. We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
