Bazaar Special Event: A Night of Life Drawing

About this special event

Add something special to your Bazaar Makers Market experience – with a special event art class!

Join artist and tutor Ben Crappsley with an evening of life drawing perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, or even those just looking to try something new.

Working with a nude figure model, you’ll explore dynamic mark-making using charcoal, chalks and graphite on paper, while building confidence in tone, line control, and composition. You’ll learn to see the figure through shape, movement, and spatial relationships, helping you develop a more personal and creative drawing style. Ideal for those wanting to deepen their life drawing practice and explore new techniques in a supportive environment.

With the Makers Market kicking off at 5pm, you can skip the queue and enter for market for free (just show your enrolment email confirmation at the gate). Then, you’ll have time to browse, buy and find your inspiration before heading upstairs to the studio for a night of creative fun.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty!

Materials including cartridge paper, charcoal and graphite blocks, plus basic drawing supplies are included in the cost. Any additional materials can be brought along as desired!

Building Accessibility

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible. We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
