John Gollings | Aftermath

John Gollings is Australia’s most celebrated architectural photographer, documenting every iconic new building in Australia over the last forty years. Although best-known for his images of the built environment, he has also undertaken a number of landscape projects throughout his career, photographing lost cities and areas of destruction.

Aftermath features stunning aerial landscapes taken after the devastating Black Saturday bushfires tore through Victoria in 2009. Gollings’ haunting images demonstrate the effects on the land itself, we see it stark, stripped and vivid, inspiring reflection about the powerful force of nature.

This is a rare opportunity to see this unique, haunting perspective of our landscape from one of Australia’s most important photographers.

This is a touring exhibition from McClelland Sculpture Park+Gallery (VIC).
