The Ceramic Arts Association of Western Australia has a mission to develop a community that nurtures understanding, practice and passion for the ceramic arts. CAAWA’s annual members’ selective exhibition is our pinnacle event every year allowing members the opportunity to exhibit together.  From the exhibition the prestigious Kusnik Award for Ceramic Excellence is awarded, which in 2022 was awarded to Ian Dowling‘s work ‘Boat Form I’. 2022 also saw the introduction of an emerging artist award for early career ceramic artists and this was awarded to Lyn Nixon‘s work ‘Waste Not Want Not’. Last year over 600 people visited the exhibition which was at Central Gallery.
