About the class

Curious about digital art but not sure where to start? This three-hour workshop with Courtney Bloom is designed to introduce adults to the fundamentals of Procreate, one of the most popular digital drawing apps available for iPad. Participants will learn how to navigate the interface, work with brushes and layers, use essential drawing tools, and create their own digital artwork in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Whether you’re completely new to digital art or interested in incorporating digital tools into your existing creative practice, this beginner’s workshop will provide practical skills and confidence to continue exploring Procreate long after the session finishes!

About Procreate
Procreate is a popular digital art and illustration app for iPad. It is purchased with a one-off fee (approximately $20 AUD) and does not require an ongoing subscription. Students will use Procreate throughout the course to create artwork and animations.

What to bring:

  • An iPad with Procreate
  • An Apple Pencil (if you have one and like to use it).

Building Accessibility

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.

We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.

Should you, or the person you are enrolling for, have any other additional requirements, please include these details when booking. Should you wish to chat to one of our friendly team, feel free to contact Reception on 9432 9555 or email ArtsCentre@fremantle.wa.gov.au to discuss any individual needs.
