Join local artist Symone Ishak for a vibrant acrylic painting workshop celebrating the unique beauty of Western Australia’s birdlife.
You’ll learn how to plan and sketch your chosen bird onto canvas, experiment with colour mixing, and build layers of paint to create a striking bird portrait full of personality and colour. Guided by Symone’s expert instruction, you’ll explore techniques for capturing the distinctive features and character of our local feathered friends.

Symone Ishak is a self-taught oil painter based in Walyalup, Fremantle. What began as playful experimentation with oils has grown into an intuitive, exploratory practice, bridging her inner reflections with the outer world. Her work explores themes of connection, solitude, and grounding in the natural environment, with a focus on colour, form, and narrative.
