NEW! Make a clay mug and spoon

With

Just in time for winter, create your own unique mug to enjoy a cosy hot chocolate. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn simple clay hand-building techniques to shape and decorate your piece, then finish it with colourful glazes. Your mug will be kiln-fired and ready to collect later.

What to bring:

  • A water bottle and snack or lunchbox for longer classes
  • A sunhat for any outdoor breaks
  • All materials included.

What to wear:

  • Closed toed shoes
  • Clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

Drop off and Pick Up:

  • All parents/guardians need to drop off and pick up their child from the studio
  • No students will be permitted to leave without written confirmation by a parent/guardian.

Ceramics Collection:

  • Please note ceramics works that need to be fired may take up to 4 weeks. We will notify you via email when your pieces are ready to collect.

Building Accessibility

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.

We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
