Cuttlefish Casting in a Day

With

About the class

Learn the process of cuttlefish casting in this one-day jewellery workshop with contemporary jeweller Alida Cappelletta. Using the natural texture of cuttlefish bone, you’ll create unique cast forms in metal, each piece carrying its own organic pattern.

You’ll be guided through preparing your mould, carving your design, and casting your piece, with time to refine and finish your work. This hands-on class is a great introduction to casting and a chance to experiment with a distinctive, process-led technique.

Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to expand their jewellery-making skills in a focused, single-day workshop.

Students to bring:

  • Apron

Students must wear appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes and tie up long hair.
