SWIMMING BELL
Swimming Bell is the musical project of Katie Schottland, a Philadelphia-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter whose ethereal melodies and intricate harmonies create a dreamlike sonic landscape. Drawing inspiration from folk traditions, layered vocal textures, and atmospheric production, Schottland crafts songs that feel both intimate and otherworldly.
Her latest EP, Somnia, produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Beck, Cass McCombs), deepens her signature sound, immersing listeners in an underwater dream world of floating melodies and percussive currents. With influences ranging from Laurel Canyon folk to modern indie experimentalism, Somnia showcases Schottland’s ability to blend warmth with mystery, nostalgia with newness. The EP is set to be released on May 16 via Perpetual Doom, a label known for championing unique and boundary-pushing artists.
Since debuting with The Golden Heart in 2019, Swimming Bell has built a reputation for evocative songwriting and transportive live performances. Whether performing solo or with a full band, Schottland’s music invites audiences into a shimmering, weightless space—where time slows, harmonies bloom, and the deep currents of emotion pull listeners ever closer.
CLOVE
Clove is an 8-piece folk band playing the music of 3 songwriters Èloïse, Madeline and Danny. In the tunes you might hear the songwriters’ love of acoustic guitar, vocal harmony and Neil Young. The band have been playing gigs since 2020, finding a lot of inspiration from other local musicians and creatives in Walyalup.
Clove has released their debut album this year! This album is a culmination of years of experimenting with a broad range of musicians, instruments and arrangements which bring richness and texture to the songs.
