Ayo Busari is an award-winning Creative Producer, Composer, Performer, Writer, and Community Arts Leader whose work is grounded in collaboration, community, and cultural connection. A defining voice in WA’s performing arts sector, he is best known as the co-frontman of TAB Family. Now, Ayo steps into a new chapter with the world-premiere performance of his debut solo EP Joy & Balloons, launching live at WFAC. For this special Sunday Music session, he’ll be joined by friends and long-time collaborators who share in the creative energy, rhythm, and joy that shape his multidisciplinary practice.

About Joy & Balloons:

Joy & Balloons is the debut solo EP from Boorloo (Perth)-based creative force Ayo Busari, a genre-blending journey through love, identity, good vibes, and the emotional landscapes that define us. Combining Afro-Pop, House, and EDM, the project captures the emotional echoes that lift, carry, and imprint themselves across our lives.

Each track is its own emotional “balloon,” charting the rises and falls of joy, passion, roots, pride, cultural love, and self-discovery. From soaring anthems to groove-driven feel-good tracks, the EP forms a vibrant, high-energy soundscape that resonates deeply with listeners. At its heart, Joy & Balloons is a poetic meditation on transformation, on how our emotions move us and shape how we meet the world.
