CASSIS

Cassis is a collective of heavily drenched funk synthesizer riffage, eclectic art pop rock rhythms and art-club sounds driven by French poetica speak-sing vocals. Songs glide effortlessly between French and English. Their music wants you to listen but also to move and dance you.

In 2021, Cassis released their debut album “Soul-Sterious” and the EP ‘Ecstasy”. Their latest album “Riding on Clouds” released in 2025 continues the band’s sonic journey.

Cassis was formed in 2011 by vocalist Véronique Ramén and guitarist Jon Edwards. Initially an acoustic duo with roots in French speak-sing songs, the band transitioned to electric with the addition of drummer Warren Hall, bassist Seb Davidson and Keyboardist Tim Newhouse.

PHANTOM ISLAND

Phantom Island is inhabited by people who’ve played in bands before, but never like this! With the various members separately associated with the garage, punk, indie, and noise scenes, their music ends up as a tasty melange of all that stuff.

After coming together in late 2024, Phantom Island played a bunch of gigs and then headed straight into the studio (really, Flick’s lounge room) to record their debut single, “Chinese Restaurant” with mobile producer and engineer, Laurie Sinagra. The band released that in May and followed up with second “It’s You” in August.
