Bongeziwe Mabandla (South Africa) has created a truly unmatched Afro-folk sound. Singing in both Xhosa and English, Mabandla fuses elements of hip hop and dub with soul and traditional Xhosa music. With hypnotic vocals, heartfelt lyrics and beat-heavy grooves, he has the ability to move from melancholic melodies to crowd-surfing riot.
