FAC Print Award Forum: Short Run

FAC’s annual Print Award Forum is an opportunity to discuss contemporary printmaking issues with artists and experts from across Australia. In 2017, the forum investigates the future of print design, self-publishing and small-press processes with particular reference to works in this year’s Print Award exhibition.

SPEAKERS:

Dr Ric Spencer (WA) – Curator, FAC – will give a tour of this year’s FAC Print Award exhibition.

Stuart Geddes (VIC) – Industry Fellow, Lecturer, School of Media and Communication, RMIT – will discuss the relationship between small-press and self-publishing strategies.

André Lipscombe (WA) – Judge, 2017 FAC Print Award – will give a brief tour of the exhibition from the judges perspective.

The winner of the 2017 Print Award will discuss their work and how it forms part of their broader practice.
