Join current WFAC Artist in Residence, Jody Graham, and discover innovative and freeing ways to draw in this 3-hour expressive workshop—no prep needed, all materials provided. Explore a range of drawing projects designed to loosen you up and spark creativity. You’ll experiment with mark-making, mixed media, and composition while developing your own visual language. Perfect for all skill levels, this workshop encourages play, risk-taking, and personal expression. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore—everything else is ready for you!

After the workshop component of the session concludes, stay a little longer and join Jody in her WFAC studio for an informal artist talk, where she’ll share insights into her work and creative discoveries during her residency at the Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre.

About Jody Graham

Jody Graham is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is grounded in drawing but spans sculpture, mixed media, installation, and performance. Known for her expressive mark-making and connection to place, she is harnessing her residency at Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre to explore unfamiliar territory—particularly painting and abstraction. This period of experimentation is allowing her to push beyond representational work and deepen her engagement with materiality and gesture, charging her work with emotional resonance.

Building Accessibility:
Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. There are no lift facilities within the main building. The room in which this event will take place is located on Level 1 (via two sets of stairs).
