An Evening with the Collection: Print Matters

The City of Fremantle Art Collection is the largest municipal art collection in Western Australia.

In order to share the rich and diverse array of artworks held by the City, we’re inviting you to join us for An Evening with the Collection – a quarterly night of conversation hosted by André Lipscombe, the Collection’s Curator.

Print Matters

In this session titled Print Matters, André explores the City of Fremantle’s extensive print collection.

The establishment of the Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award more than 45 years ago, an acquisitive prize with the winning work added to the City’s Collection, has resulted in a significant holding of contemporary Australian prints, prints by Aboriginal artists and artist books.

Visitors will have the chance to look at many of these prints up close, as André shares details of the artists, techniques and moments captured over decades.
