Enrolment Terms & Conditions

Enrolment Information

  • To secure your place, payment of the full course fee must be made upon enrolment. Places cannot be held without payment.
  • No pro-rata payments are permitted if the student cannot attend all classes.
  • Courses are run subject to sufficient enrolment numbers. Students will be notified of cancellations 5 days before the start and a full refund will be issued.
  • Subject to place availability, you can enroll after a course has commenced. There is no discount available and payment of full course fee applies
  • Participants in the adult term courses must be over 18 years of age.
  • Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre reserves the right to cancel or makes changes to the location and tutor of any course.

Concessions and Discounts

  • Discounts on courses are only open to Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre members.
  • Members receive 10% off adult art courses.
  • Discounts do not apply on Kids’ Courses.
  • Memberships and member discounts are not transferable.

Refunds & Course Cancellations

  • A full refund will be issued when:
    • A course is cancelled by Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre.
    • A course is rescheduled by Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre and you are unable to attend on the new date
    • We are notified prior to the start of a course that for medical reasons you are unable to take your place. You will need to present a medical certificate when you apply for a refund.
  • A refund of the course fee less 20% administration fee will be issued when:
    • You withdraw from a course five (5) or more days before the start date.
  • No refunds or substitute classes will be offered if when:
    • You withdraw four (4) or fewer days prior to the course start date.
    • You withdraw on or after the course start date.
    • You are absent from a class.
    • The advertised tutor is replaced due to unforeseen circumstances

Changing courses once enrolled

  • Due to the limitations of our system, students are unable to transfer their enrolment from one class to another, as our system does not allow fees to be transferred between courses.
  • As such, where a student wishes to change courses, the original enrolment may be cancelled and a new enrolment completed.
  • Where the new course is similar in value, the 20% administration fee for cancellation will not apply, provided the cancellation occurs before the course commences (even if this is within five days of the course start date).

Makeup classes

  • At the discretion of the Creating Learning team, students may be eligible for one makeup class per term, where:
    • This is agreed between the tutor and Creative Learning team ahead of time
    • There is another similar class with the same tutor running within the same term that the student can attend as a replacement
    • The students presence at the other class does not adversely impact the experience of the others.
  • Makeup classes are not transferable between terms and must be completed within the course term for which the student is enrolled.

Marketing & Photography

  • By enrolling in a class you are giving permission for you and/or your child to be photographed and/or videoed.
  • Photos and videos may be used by Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre for promotional purposes.

Privacy Policy

Any personal details recorded by Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre will be used only for the purposes of your enrolment in our Centre Learning Program and to notify you of future Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre courses and events. If you do not wish for these details to be used by Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre, please contact our reception to register this request. No personal information will be disclosed outside Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre without your expressed consent, except where required by law.

Access

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.

We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions. If you have any specific access requirements, please contact reception on 9432 9555 before enrolling in a course.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a community space where everyone is welcome. We need to work together and treat each other with respect to make sure the space is safe and enjoyable for all.

Code of conduct and safety

  • Follow all directions given by tutors and staff, particularly regarding safety.
  • Report any concerns to your Tutor or Front of House staff.
  • Supervise any children or people in your care at all times, including during parent–child classes.
  • Treat shared spaces, equipment, materials, and Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre property with care.
  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear.
  • Ask permission from your Tutor before taking photos or filming.
  • Be respectful and considerate of others

Unacceptable behaviour includes:

  • Offensive, disruptive, unsafe, or inconsiderate behaviour.
  • Violence, aggression, harassment, abuse, or invasion of personal space.
  • Use of alcohol or illicit substances.
  • Theft or damage to property or materials.
  • Improper handling of tools, equipment, or hazardous materials.
  • Failure to follow tutor or staff instructions.
