Have you ever wanted to copy your favourite item of clothing and recreate it in all different colours and fabrics?
With Angela’s expert guidance, learn how to use a ready made garment to make a pattern with some simple techniques. In this hands on course discover everything you need to know to get you sewing, from how your machine works and sewing in a straight line to choosing the right item of clothing to copy.
What to bring:
- A sewing machine in good working order (bring along the manual if you have it)
- Pack of assorted sewing machine needles (size 12 sharps or universal needles)
- Thread
- Pencil & sharpener
- Small screwdriver
- Fabric scissors
- Measuring tape
- 30cm ruler
- 50cm calico or similar plain fabric/scrap
- Pins
- Pen and notebook
- Angela will advise you during the first lesson what sort of item of clothing, fabric and other materials you will need to bring along for the following weeks
- Further materials may be required throughout the course
Building Accessibility
