Lino Print Studio with Bina Butcher
About the class
This 8-week course offers an in-depth exploration of lino cut and reduction lino printing. Designed for those looking to develop and refine their skills, you’ll learn techniques such as creating editions, composing engaging designs, and mastering colour use. Whether you want to work independently on your own lino projects with guidance from Bina when needed, or follow a step-by-step reduction lino print process, this course provides flexibility to suit your goals.
It’s ideal for students who have completed Bina’s introductory lino printing class, but beginners are also very welcome. Enjoy a supportive, collaborative environment where you can share ideas and learn from fellow printmakers.
What to Bring
- Your own lino tools and cutting blades (if you have them)
- Lino blocks or any carving material you’d like to work with
- Sketchbook and pencils for planning your designs
- Apron or old clothes you don’t mind getting ink on
- If you have specific inks or papers you prefer, feel free to bring them
If you’re new to lino printing and don’t have tools yet, don’t worry—basic materials will be provided for you to get started!
