Hand Build a Grazing Plate and Bowl

With

About this class

Join ceramic artist Alida Cappelletta for a creative and relaxed one-day workshop where you’ll design and make your own grazing set. Using iron rich clay, you’ll create a sculptural plate and matching bowl, perfect for serving and sharing.

You’ll learn handbuilding techniques including slab work and shaping forms using moulds, with guidance on refining surfaces and adding detail to make your pieces truly your own.

If you have a particular idea in mind, Alida is happy to support you in developing your design into a finished piece.

After the workshop, WFAC will take care of glazing and firing your work, ready for you to collect and use at home.

No experience needed, just bring your creativity and a willingness to play with clay.

Building Accessibility

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.

We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
