Draw & Illustrate Cartoon Characters For Older Kids

Create your own original cartoon characters and bring them to life in this hands-on illustration workshop with artist Ben Crappsley. Learn the fundamentals of cartoon construction, from expressive faces and dynamic poses, movement and personality, while experimenting with bold mark-making techniques using markers and poster paper.

Perfect for budding illustrators and comic lovers alike, this workshop encourages creativity, confidence and the development of your own unique cartoon style.

What to bring:

• A water bottle and snack or lunchbox for longer classes
• A sunhat for any outdoor breaks
• All materials included.

What to wear:

• Closed toed shoes
• Clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

Drop of and Pick Up:

• All parents/guardians need to drop off and pick up their child from the studio
• No students will be permitted to leave without written confirmation by a parent/guardian.

Building Accessibility

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.
