Chunky Beasts In Clay For Older Kids

With Amy Perejuan-Capone

Discover how to build bold, large-scale 3D sculptures in this exciting clay workshop with Amy Perejuan-Capone. Learn the art of creating strong hollow forms and developing structure from the inside out, then transform a simple hollow sphere into your very own “Chunky Beast.” Add expressive features like a head, limbs and a tail, you’ll explore character balance and sculptural detail while bringing personality and imagination into your work.

Ceramics works will all be glazed and fired at WFAC.

What to bring:

  • A water bottle and snack or lunchbox for longer classes
  • A sunhat for any outdoor breaks
  • All materials included.

What to wear:

  • Clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

Drop of and Pick Up:

  • All parents/guardians need to drop off and pick up their child from the studio
  • No students will be permitted to leave without written confirmation by a parent/guardian.

Ceramics Collection:

  • Please note ceramics works that need to be fired may take up to 4 weeks. We will notify you via email when your pieces are ready to collect!

Building Accessibility

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.

We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
