Afterschool Art Classes: Jewellery Making Foundations for Older Kids

Design and create your own sterling silver jewellery in this fun 6-week after-school workshop. Guided by contemporary jeweller Alida, students will learn real jewellery-making techniques including measuring ring sizes, calculating the correct length to make a ring that fits, sawing, soldering, filing, sanding, and polishing. Add your own creative touch by roller-printing patterns or using letter and design stamps to personalise your piece.
Please wear closed-in shoes and tie back long hair for safety.
What to bring:
- A water bottle and snack or lunchbox for longer classes
- A sunhat for any outdoor breaks
- All materials included.
What to wear:
- Closed toed shoes
- Clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
Drop of and Pick Up:
- All parents/guardians need to drop off and pick up their child from the studio
- No students will be permitted to leave without written confirmation by a parent/guardian.
Building Accessibility
Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.
