Wicker Work with Fiona Gavino
About the class
Learn the timeless craft of cane basket weaving with artist Fiona Gavino. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore traditional weaving techniques to create beautiful, functional baskets in a range of sizes.
Easy to learn and endlessly adaptable, this technique can be applied to a variety of materials. Fiona will guide you through the process, discussing the use of different plant fibres and providing natural materials for you to work with.
Perfect for beginners or those looking to reconnect with traditional crafts, this workshop offers a rewarding and meditative making experience.
Students must wear appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes and tie up long hair for safety reasons.
What to bring
