Writing a Novel: The First Draft with Brooke Dunnell

About the class

This course is for all budding writers who feel they have a novel in them but aren't sure where to start. Each session will focus on essential writing techniques like plot, character, setting, dialogue, description and structure. Address common concerns such as procrastination, inspiration, motivation, writer's block and self-doubt. Participants will get the chance to complete writing exercises and share their work in a safe and constructive environment.

Brooke Dunnell is a writer, editor and workshop facilitator whose short stories have been published in a range of anthologies and commended in various competitions. She loves discussing writing skills and techniques and helping students improve their craft.
