Monoprint in a Day with Bina Butcher
About the class
Join Bina Butcher for a fun and creative day of monoprinting!
Monoprinting—meaning “one print”—is a versatile technique that lets you create unique, expressive, and textured prints quickly.
Perfect for beginners, this workshop provides a solid foundation in printmaking basics, including how to use an etching press, mix inks, and explore creative mark-making methods. Bina will guide you step-by-step through the process, using techniques like reductive drawing, plant matter, stencils, and more.
No experience is needed—just bring your creativity!
What to Bring:
Feel free to bring any textured materials you think might create interesting patterns or textures, such as:
- Plant matter (dry is best, but fresh is okay)
- Loose weave fabrics like lace or mesh
- Netting
- Stencils
- Thin objects (anything too thick won’t go through the press)
If you’re unsure whether something will work, just bring it along—Bina will help you decide!
Building Accessibility

We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
