Life Drawing (Nights) with Joss Gregson
About the class
Refine your observational skills and deepen your understanding of the human form in this focused life drawing course with experienced artist Joss Gregson. Working with a live model each week, you’ll explore a range of approaches to figure drawing, from expressive mark making to careful studies of form and tone.
Each session will begin with a series of timed warm-up exercises, using contour and gestural line to capture movement and energy. You’ll then develop your drawings through the study of tonal values, light and shade, and the relationship between positive and negative space.
The course offers a mix of short and extended poses, encouraging you to balance speed and spontaneity with considered observation. Ideal for both beginners and those looking to build confidence in life drawing, this class provides a supportive environment to explore line, structure, and the expressive potential of the human figure.
