Introduction to Art of Renaissance with Richard Gunning
About the class
This five-week course is presented in two parts. The first part delves into the art of the Renaissance, tracing its origins in Florence and following its evolution over two centuries—an era that produced some of the most influential and exquisite works in Western art.
In the second part, we turn our focus to Venice. From its humble beginnings in a muddy lagoon to its rise as a powerful maritime republic, we’ll explore how the city’s rich and dramatic history is reflected in its extraordinary artistic legacy.
Designed for beginners and art lovers alike, this course offers a welcoming and engaging introduction to the pleasures of art history in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Building Accessibility
Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.
We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
