Explore the exciting world of silver jewellery making in this hands-on course with experienced jeweller Kate Sale. Designed for beginners and those wanting to build on existing skills, this course introduces a range of fundamental techniques including sawing, soldering, filing, texturing, and bezel setting.

You’ll learn to:

• Experiment with a variety of surface textures
• Shape and form metal into beautiful three-dimensional designs
• Create pieces such as rings, earrings, or pendants
• Develop your own design ideas with guidance and support
• Work safely and confidently in a well-equipped studio

Whether you're creating a meaningful gift, a personal keepsake, or simply enjoying the process of learning a new craft, this course offers a fun and supportive environment to explore your creativity through metal.

What to bring

• Most of the materials are included in the course fee.
• We will guide you on any additional supplies you may need to purchase as the course progresses.
• Should you need, Bezel Ring Kits are available to purchase for $20 through reception at the Fremantle Arts Centre. These will be available throughout the term.

Building Accessibility

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. While there are no lift facilities within the main building, the ceramics studio is wheelchair accessible.
