2025 Show Time Series: Awake Is The New Sleep Family Listening Party
WFAC is thrilled to announce a new twist in our series of ongoing free creative programs for families with our seventh Show Time, thanks to the continued support of our official partner Community Bank – Fremantle – Bendigo Bank.
In this hands-on morning workshop, we’ll celebrate twenty years of Ben Lee's Awake Is The New Sleep before his live performance of the iconic album in our Front Garden.
Families are invited to join us for a relaxed morning of creative making inspired by the music. As we listen to the album in full, you’ll craft your own interpretation of the cover art — using natural materials gathered from around the garden where the concert will take place. Think pressed leaves, flower petals, twigs, and stems — all woven together into an LP-sized artwork to take home. Along the way, we’ll share stories about what the songs mean to us, and maybe even have a little boogie.
Places are limited to fifteen families of any size (one enrolment per family). Children must attend with an adult.
Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre is a heritage-listed building with access limitations. There are no lift facilities within the main building, and our Painting Studio is only accessible by stairs.
We acknowledge these limitations and are committed to improving accessibility where possible. We continue to explore ways to make our programs more inclusive and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
