Rachel Salmon-Lomas | Anarchy, Rock & Ink: Riley (The Cow)

For 18 years Riley the cow has been a central motif of Perth artist Rachel Salmon-Lomas’ work. A potent character, Riley features in hundreds upon hundreds of Salmon-Lomas’ etched prints.

This exhibition presented the complete works of Riley for the first time and invited visitors into a darkened gallery (hand-held torches are provided) to explore these evocative prints.

For the past 16 years Salmon-Lomas has also been deeply involved in Perth’s dance music scene as a DJ and radio presenter at RTRFM – under the moniker of Rok Riley. Salmon-Lomas is a printmaker who teaches Printmedia at Curtin University.
